"Hess takes care of customers"

When a water main burst in Boston in 2010, leaving the whole city dry, Hess Retail pooled its resources to keep enough water in stock to serve its customers. The video explains how Aric Morrison, retail regional manager, New England, contacted T.J. McNeany, key account manager at Pepsi, as soon as he got word about the unprecedented water break. As supplies at other retailers evaporated, causing concern among consumers like Chantelle Dias, who "needed water for her baby," Hess kept the water flowing, recalled Hess store manager Sanjin Loncarevic. It wasn't about profiting from the disaster, Morrison said. It was about taking care of customers, and making sure "we were there for them in a time of crisis."
